Project completion - Sarbinowo Guest house

In designing, we focuses on the interaction between the architect and the client (investor or future resident), long conversations and joint determination of the main topics of the arrangement. Nature is also the source of inspiration - its endearing simplicity, which consists of the innumerable wealth of shapes, colours and patterns. This is how ideas for modern, comfortable and at the same time unique arrangements are born, distinguished by surprising detail, interesting material, and original form. Our studio has produced many designs for residential interiors (apartments, houses, residences) and public places, as well as green areas - the architects from this team are convinced that the interior and surroundings of the building should be compatible zones, the walls of which are not separated, but on the contrary combine into a coherent whole

The holiday guest house in Sarbinowo opened its doors in the summer of 2019. The intention of the investor was to create a cosy and atmospheric space, enabling a good holiday. Most of us dream of relaxing in an atmospheric place without obligations, where the beauty contained in simple stories captivates. Our studio always strongly places its projects in the "local context" and it was this time - the most important point of reference is Sarbinowo itself, as a former fishing village, and today a popular summer resort

The interior design includes clear references to the past: fishing baskets as lamp shades (a whole group of them hangs in the hall), oars as "welcoming" or house guards, jute carpets, woven chairs, and pieces of wood thrown by the sea as decorations. The surface of the floors was deliberately gently rubbed. However, these "historicising" elements were juxtaposed - in very balanced proportions - with simple, modern furniture. Equipment such as rope swings in the rooms remind you that this trip into the past was organized "with a pinch of salt": yes, we came to an old fishing village where people worked hard for centuries with fishing, but we will simply relax in it. Colours play a huge role in this project. The most important thing is white, served here in large amounts, pure, fresh and mild

Thanks to it, the interiors seem to be constantly filled with light and fresh air - a priceless impression in the capricious atmosphere of the Polish coast. The combination of white with the natural colour of wood and the discreet grey of curtains, upholstered furniture, carpets and floors, enhanced with a touch of black, gives the effect of unpretentious naturalness. The colours are conducive to mute, comfortable equipment and well-thought-out space organization ensure comfort. The arrangement is full, but not overloaded; leaves room for guests to bring their belongings, something personal, while on holiday. Remember, this is not a hotel, but a guesthouse, and this one has a more homely character - here we not only spend the night, but also live. Like "at home". We declare a persistent search for symbols that will tell a story hidden in forms. The effect could be described as "new minimalism", which is not afraid of allegory and does not avoid anecdotes, but uses the former in a perfectly balanced way, the latter - he tells quietly, discreetly. A great example is a guest house in Sarbinowo - an idyllic place firmly rooted in the present, with windows wide open to the past, covered with fishing nets drying on the Baltic beach
